Pakorn is a graphic designer with a life philosophy that sounds more like a mission statement. “I can live without a lot of pretty things, but pretty things cannot live without me,” he says from behind his designer glasses and crisp grey t-shirt. He is passionate about graphics, letterpress, fashion, photography, printmaking, and interior spaces. Born in Thailand and raised in Los Angeles, Pakorn is a hybrid of opposites. His favorite color is white but he has a particular passion for something he calls “ghetto gold.” He is equally comfortable navigating an alley in Southeast Asia or the wide-open arcade of the South Coast Plaza – which happens to be minutes from Long Beach State where he earned a BFA in Graphic Design.
